Russian GRU Spetsnaz Team - Spectre: Operations

After many moons waiting to get into Spectre: Operations, I finally decided to take the plunge after Spectre Miniatures decided to release a Starter Set and I was eventually coerced rather horrifically by my lovely group of totally-not-persistent 'friends'. I joke of course, it was all my idea...

So here we are. My first set of Spectre Miniatures fully painted (bases are to be decided depending on gameplay). These dudes are GRU Spetsnaz Special Forces, they're very capable in a wide variety of situations and are pretty well equipped!

These guys were actually really fast to paint, completed in about 4 sittings. So... I'm gonna break down the process of how I got these chappies from pieces of metal, to fully painted Special Forces Operatives. I hope you brought your brown pants...

Blood Ravens - Kitbashed Chapter Champion

Well this chap was a mega fun project. What do you do when you can't find a model to buy that you want to put in your army? You make him from scratch 😎

This post will break down the creation process of my Chapter Champion.

Scenery - Silo

It's amazing what you can do with a load of scraps right?

When you've ran out of propellant in your spray cans, here's an idea.

Blood Ravens - Stormhawk Interceptor

The Stormhawk Interceptor has to be one of my all time favourite vehicles in my Blood Ravens army. I started this vehicle without any idea on design, loadout (for gameplay) or any fine details that I would choose to make the model pop.

The only way I knew to go about it, was to consult my Space Marine Codex and choose some heavy output weapons - as when I play this miniature, it will be quite the target; so arming it with hard hitting pain delivery systems was probably the best choice.

After assembling the mini (the only sub-assembly being the nose mounted heavy weapons), it was straight onto the paint station.
